Servus Transilvania Fest has reached its 3rd edition and it will take place between the 18th and 20th of August at Woistal, near the historic village of Biertan, Sibiu county. The organizers have prepared this year a remarkable event, conceived on three axes: artistic, artisanal and touristic, oriented towards the same goal: the creation of a unique experience not only through diversity, but also through the sense of community promoted by this event. Thus, the quality music meets with the organic food and all sorts of handcrafted products, inviting the visitors to rejoice in nature, to enjoy good music, to taste and purchase the organic food made by local producers and to acquire the hand-made articles of the most skilled artisans of the region. We want to be a bridge between the past and the future, and this is the reason why this year, the Newcomer Band Contest winner will be awarded by a living legend of Romanian rock, Mr. Ovidiu Lipan Tandarica. For more than 50 years, Mr. Ovidiu Lipan Tandarica has contributed to the development and consolidation of the Romanian musical scene, whether we are talking about his solo albums, Red and Black (Roşu şi Negru), Phoenix or his collaborations with prestigious Romanian and international artists (Gheorghe Zamfir, Grigore Lees, Stelu Enache, Marius Mihalache, Eruption, ELOY, Joachim Witt (new German wave), Herman Rarebell from Scorpions / Rated X). This year, we are glad and honored to have among us on the evening of Sunday, August 20, the unique and unparalleled Mr. Ovidiu Lipan Tandarica. Another great surprise comes from Antract, which will perform on stage at Servus Transilvania Fest on August 18 at Biertan. Antract is one of the most talented Romanian rock band, which has shared the scene with legendary names of international rock industry like Uriah Heep (1992), Jethro Tull (1994), Paradise Lost (1994), Ronnie James Dio 1998), Monster Magnet (1999), Metallica (1999) or Helloween (2006). The artistic side of the festival comprises the newcomer bands contest with jury and prizes and the shows of over 15 Romanian and foreign bands, among which Persefone (progressive metal, Andorra), Poem (progressive /alternative, Greece) Dirty Shirt (crossover folklore metal, Romania), Kempes (heavy metal, RO), Platonic Band (bluess/jazz/rock, RO), Dordeduh (ethnic folklore metal, RO), Indian Fall (black metal, RO), Still Awake (rock/metal/prog, Germany), For The Wicked (metalcore, RO), EvergreeD (metal, RO), Antract (rock, RO) and many others. The organizers have also prepared a few surprises soon to be announced.
