The announcement follows its latest round of funding, from which it has received US$125 million to support its global expansion.
handy devices, first launched in September 2012, help to deliver hassle free travels and meet a growing demand for Internet connection services. Connected travelers are on the rise, with a recent global research indicating that 46% of global travelers said free in-room Wi-Fi is a must-have amenity, which means they will look elsewhere if an accommodation does not provide connectivity. Tink Labs flagship’ innovative smartphone, handy, is a complimentary amenity integrating with hotel services andoffering travelers unlimited connectivity on the go, as well as tailored travel guides.
Starting August 2017 guests of Epoque Hotel can enjoy the free connectivity and services provided by handy. To date, handy is already available, covering over 100,000 rooms and helped over 10 million global travelers to stay connectedacross20 cities. The service is a trusted partner of other leading hotel groups including Ritz-Carlton, Intercontinental, Sheraton, and more.
