Brico Depôt Romania becomes player no 2 on DIY market, with 42 stores, after completion of the acquisition of Praktiker Romania.
Brico Depôt Romania, part of Kingfisher plc, the international home improvement company, today announces that the transaction to aquire 100% of the shares of Praktiker Romania from the Susli family has been successfully completed. This follows the announcement in August that Kingfisher intended to acquire the business.

Praktiker had last year a turnover of 137 million euros, and Brico Depot had a turnover of 142 million euros. The leader of DIY market is Dedeman, with a turnover of 1 billion euro.
