Starbucks opens first drive thru store in Romania Together with licensed partner AmRest, Starbucks has opened its first drive thru store in the country, located in Western Bucharest. The new Starbucks drive thru, opened on January 23rd 2018, is located in Western Bucharest in the Militari Shopping center parking area. The store provides a convenient drive-to, as well as drink-in store experience, for those coffee fans looking for a quick and delicious refreshment break during their journey or whilst out shopping. “We are excited to welcome Starbucks fans to the first drive thru in Romania, a convenient and fast way to order and get your favourite Starbucks drink or food. Starting this week, coffee lovers in Bucharest can order their hot drinks from behind the wheel, instead of at the counter. We’ve got a fantastic new store team to deliver a great customer experience” said Mateusz Sielecki, Regional Director of Starbucks for Romania and Bulgaria. The first Starbucks Drive Thru in Bucharest, Militari Shopping, 50 Bd. Iuliu Maniu, will be open Monday-Sunday from 5 AM to 1 AM. Starbucks Romania opened stores in two new cities in 2017 – Sibiu and Galati – and now has 37 stores around the country. In 2018, Starbucks is set to continue innovating to further elevate high quality coffee leadership in Romania to bring the authentic Starbucks experience to more communities and customers. The franchise is owned by AmRest, an international restaurant operator whose network include several well-known brands, such as KFC, Pizza Hut, Burger King, La Tagliatella.
