THE BRIDGE office project, developed by Forte Partners, received the highest LEED Platinum scorecard certification awarded by US Green Building Council (USGBC) for a Romanian property.
THE BRIDGE was evaluated across seven main criteria: sustainable sites, water efficiency, energy & atmosphere, material & resources, indoor environmental quality, innovation and regional priority credits.
“We want to develop impactful sustainable projects that reshape the city and model the lives of the people that live and work in our projects. We are always concerned about the efficiency and the quality of our products and the LEED PLATINUM certification is the result of the attention that we give to communities and to the environment”, said Geo Mărgescu, CEO and co-founder Forte Partners. “The real estate market is getting more mature and reaching excellence in sustainable certification should become a norm. THE BRIDGE is only the third project in Romania to receive the LEED Platinum certification and we hope that this number will increase in the near future”.
The first phase of THE BRIDGE was delivered last December and marked some of the largest leasing transactions on the market – BCR, with 18,000 sqm and IBM, with 12.000 sqm. The second phase, with a leasable area of 20.000 sqm is presently under construction and will be delivered in the last quarter of 2018. The total value of both phases amounts to EUR 145 Million.
“The construction works for the second phase of THE BRIDGE are advancing very quickly and by the end of the year we will complete the entire investment, which already market the new office area of Bucharest”, added Geo Mărgescu.
