Tara Skurtu and Rebekah Morgan are the guests of this Sunday’s reading club by Blecher Institute, at Tramvaiul 26 on Cercului St nr 6, starting at 7 p.m.

Tara Skurtu was born in Key West, Florida (1982) and studied creative writing at Boston University. She was awarded Robert Pinsky Global Fellowship poetry award, in 2016 her chapbook Skurtu, Romania was published and The Amoeba Game was released last year, a poetry book that will be translated in Romanian this year. Skutu first came to Romania in 2013 and soon after moved to Bucharest.

Rebekah Morgan (b. 1991) comes from Charlottesville, Virginia and now lives in Iași. She studied painting at Piedmont Virginia Community College and published poetry in a number of online publications  (Anti-Heroin Chic, Faded Out).

What: Photography course (7 hours)


 

Learn how to take photos and post them for optimal feedback on Social Media for your business or hobby.

7 hours of training and socializing over coffee break with photographer Horia Petrascu and social media advisor Alina Ariton from RTB PR Agency. The cours is open to 10 participants.

Horia Petrașcu’s photography has been published by numerous publications – Vice Romania, Mediafax, Hotnews, Dilema Veche, apparatus.photo etc.

On the celebration of 100 years since the unification of Basarabia with the country (March 27 1918), the Romanian Cultural Institute together with The Center for Development and Integration Prut, “Eudoxiu Hurmuzachi” Institute for Romanians Everywhere and the Diaspora Office of Rep. Modova are organizing this exciting music event at the Arenele Romane, in a heated tent.

The line-up to heat up the evening:  SIAJ, Alex Calancea band & Guz – Lupii, Cuibul, Gândul Mâței and Zdob și Zdub.
