The average rent for a studio in Bucharest increases to 240 euros per month The average demand for a studio in Bucharest reached about 240 euros per month this year, up 5.3 percent from the same period last year, according to Imobiliare.ro portal.Last summer, the average asking rent was 228 euros. The increase comes in the context in which, in the university cities, the demand for the apartment rental market has already begun to increase even in the summer period, before the students start the new school year. In Bucharest, however, those interested can also find more affordable offers: a 40-square-meter villas studio can be rented, for example, with 200 euros per month in the 13 Septembrie area. “A two-room apartment, on the other hand, now costs 350 euros per month, on average – a significant increase over the same period last year, namely 321 euros per month. On Imobiliare.ro, however, students can find more convenient offers: in the Drumul Taberei neighborhood, for example, a furnished and equipped apartment costs 260 euros per month”, shows the data transmitted. In the last 12 months, the claims of three-room housing owners remained at about the same level, namely 400 euros per month, compared to 404 euros per month in the summer of last year. In Rahova, the Petre Ispirescu area, a 70-square-meter dwelling has a required asking price of 300 euros per month, according to Imobiliare.ro. In Cluj-Napoca, the average budget required for renting a studio reached 250 euros per month this summer, a considerable advance from the average of 220 euros per month recorded in 2017. “Owners’ expectations also increased in the segment of two-room apartments, which reached a level of 380-390 euros per month, compared to 360 euros per month in June last year. In Manastur, a two-room dwelling with a total area of 50 square meters has a required asking price of 300 euros per month”, shows the data. In Timisoara, the amount needed to rent a studio reached 185-190 euros per month in the summer of 2018, rising from 171 euros per month 12 months ago. In the Studenţesc area, a one-storey dwelling with an area of 17 square meters is listed on the portal at a price of 125 euros per month. A two-room apartment can be rented, on average, 300 euros per month in Timisoara, compared to 278 euros per month last year. In Iasi, the average rent demanded for a studio reached 200 euros per month – while in the same period last year it reached 191 euros per month. In the first two months of this year, two-room apartments have cost 280-300 euros per month, compared to 269 euros per month valid last year.
