The role of a super hero from the movie “Avengers: Infinity War” has propelled Scarlett Johansson first in the list of Forbes’s best paid actresses in the world, surpassing Angelina Jolie, reports Reuters.

Johansson, 33, received $ 40.5 million, unbeatable earnings, between June 1, 2017 – June 1, 2018, four times more than in the previous year, according to Forbes calculations. She played Black Widow in the movie “Avengers: Infinity War” and she will return to acting in 2019.

Angelina Jolie, aged 43, has earned $ 28 million, thanks to the amount she has received for her role in the film “Maleficent 2”, which will be released in 2020.

49-year-old Jennifer Aniston, still receiving revenue from the “Friends” sitcom, ranks third with $ 19.5 million. She has received money from promoting products, including Coca-Cola Co’s (KO.N) Smartwater and Johnson & Johnson’s (JNJ.N) Aveeno.

Jennifer Lawrence, 28, who recently starred in “Mother!” and “Red Sparrow”, is the fourth in Forbes, continuing to earn revenue from the X-Men series and from the contract with the famous Christian Dior fashion house. In the last year  she had an income of $ 18 million, $ 6 million less than last year.

Fifth is Reese Witherspoon, 42, receiving $ 16.5 million. Mila Kunis, Cate Blanchett, Melissa McCarthy and Gal Gadot are the rest of the actresses in the top.

Last year, the best-paid actress was Oscar winner for “La La Land,” Emma Stone, who is not in the top 10. The list of the best-paid actors will be announced next week. Last year, Mark Wahlberg led the top with a prize pool of $ 68 million, thanks to the sums earned for appearances in “Daddy’s Home 2” and “Transformers: The Last Knight.” According to Forbes, the lack of roles for women makes them earn less. Only two women in the top have exceeded incomes of 20 million dollars, after 2017 were three and in 2016 – four. Forbes makes this yearly ranking based on the data provided by Nielsen, as well as interviews with industry people.
