DPD Romania, one of the largest courier companies on the local market, has launched DPD Collect, a fast and flexible delivery solution, following an investment of 1.2 million euros.

DPD Collect consists of a network of postal machines and offices located in commercial and office buildings, as well as in its own locations. According to DPD representatives, the new service addresses all business segments (B2B, B2C) as well as individuals who want to ship parcels from door to fixed, fixed point to fixed door or fixed point.

Among the news that the new service will provide customers include: reduced cost, time of delivery 24 hours, extended availability of the package (up to 5 days) and flexibility in terms of acquisition and delivery. The company announces that the DPD Collect service is accessible to all customers by accessing the myDPD application, which offers the track & trace option online and the payment option.

“The dynamism that characterizes the e-commerce market motivates us to come up with innovative solutions that meet the needs of our e-commerce partners and not only by offering them new flexible delivery and shipping modalities,” said Lucian Aldescu, DPD Romania CEO.

The service is available from September in over 50 locations in Bucharest, and by the end of the year the company expects to expand nationwide through a network of 100 DPD Collect points in the main cities in Romania.
