Metropolitan Life appoints Carmina Dragomir as CEO for Romania Metropolitan Life announces Carmina Dragomir as CEO for Romania starting from 1st of October 2017, subject to final regulatory approvals. She succeeds Emilia Bunea, who has successfully run the Romanian life insurance business for the last three years. Carmina Dragomir joins Metropolitan Life in Romania after completing a successful role as Deputy CEO& Chief Operating Officer (COO) at MetLife Italy for the last three years. In this position, Carmina will report to Dirk Ostijn, Regional Head, Western& Central Europe. Her experience with Metropolitan Life started in 2003 and includes prior leadership positions at Metropolitan Life Romania, including COO. “It is a great opportunity toreturn to what I think is one of the most rapidly developing markets in the region.
