Banca Transilvania and 5 To Go support the UberGREEN pilot mobility program (Demo)

More than 10,000 people used UberGREEN electric cars. The total distance of electric car races was 71,769 kilometers, and if this distance had not been driven by an electric car, 8,5 tonnes of carbon dioxide would have reached the atmosphere. Starting with August, 5 To Go and Banca Transilvania join the UberGREEN electric mobility pilot project, the 100% electric car service.

The two companies support the pilot program partially covering the cost of leasing UberGREEN electric cars, thus supporting the drivers of the partners that offer this service. In March, Bucharest became the first CEE city with a fully electric ridesharing service. In Europe, Uber also offers electric mobility options in London, Paris, Madrid, Amsterdam, Lisbon, Porto, Zurich and Munich. Meanwhile, more than  10,000  people used the UberGREEN electric cars. The total distance of electric car races was  71,769 kilometers, and if this distance had not been driven by an electric car *,  8,5 tonnes  of carbon dioxide would have reached the atmosphere.

“We are delighted to join such an entrepreneurial initiative that takes into account the life and future of the community we live in. We want Banca Transilvania to become a good citizen and especially a good neighbor, so social involvement is an objective for us. By working with UberGREEN and 5 to go, we hope that electrical mobility will become accessible to as many people as possible so that Bucharest becomes a less polluting and easier to navigate city, ”  said  Őmer Tetik, Director General of Transilvania Bank.

” We chose to support the UberGreen project, because clean energy is a topic of interest for 5 To Go. We will shortly have in 5 To Go Drive Thru, a power station for automobiles. 5 To Go is focused on social responsibility projects, being always a topic on our work agenda and having such projects in decline since its first year of work,”  said Radu Savopol, co-founder of 5 To Go.

“Both 5 To Go and Uber are two cool brands that have the customer’s mobility at the heart of the business model. That’s why we considered it more than just the UberGREEN service. We wanted, from the very beginning, to be present everywhere on our clients’ roads, not to have to look for us, but to find us easily wherever they are, especially when there is a desire to consume coffee , said Lucian Badila, co-founder 5 To Go.

“Since February, since we launched UberGREEN, we are working on the development of the electrical service in Bucharest and we are happy to have Banca Transilvania and 5 to go. We believe that the future of transport is electric, shared with others and autonomous; we want more and more people to have access to 100% electrical mobility solutions, convenient and a button away, and this partnership is an important step towards this vision”, said  Nicoleta Schroeder, General Manager, Uber Romania.
