First direct flight from Bucharest to Tbilisi

Level Tour, a boutique travel agency founded by entrepreneurs Cristina Micosovici and Andrei Anghel, adds travel packages in Gudauri, as well as other mountain resorts in Georgia’s Caucasus Mountains to its portfolio.

In partnership with Blue Air airline, and with the support of the Romanian Embassy in Georgia and the Georgian Embassy in Romania, Level Tour presents the first and only direct flight from Bucharest to the Georgian capital, with all transfers to the resorts included. Vacation packages are varied, ranging from cultural and historical tours in Tbilisi and wine tastings, to extreme sports at altitudes of up to 3,279 meters.

The pilot project is set to take place in 2018, between February 3rd and February 10th, period corresponding to children’s inter-semester break, and will be supplemented according to the number of requests received from Level Tour customers.

“We have received many questions about an alternative to the classic ski holiday in Bulgaria or Austria. Including Georgia in our portfolio came naturally because we are always looking for new destinations where tourists can create beautiful memories”, said Cristina Micosovici, Co-Founder Level Tour. “This is also one of the main reasons why 98% of the agency’s clients return and trust us to propose travel destinations. We help them organize their vacation plans from A to Z, so that their only care is to pack the suitcases”, added Cristina Micosovici.

Gudauri is the largest ski resort in Georgia and offers over 60 kilometres of slopes of all difficulty levels, equipped to the highest standards. Winter sports fans can choose from a wide range of activities, such as cross-country skiing, paragliding, cat skiing, heli-skiing, snow tubing and night skiing.

„We are pleased to announce a roundtrip charter flight from Bucharest to Tbilisi, departing on February 3rd and returning on February 10th 2018 that connects the two capitals by a two and a half hours flight, thus avoiding long layovers, night flights and lost luggage. We chose this destination because Georgia, although a little-known country in Romania, has a rich history, delicious culinary specialties and one of the world’s oldest wine cultures”, said Tudor Constatinescu, Commercial Director Blue Air.

“I endorse this project that encourages cultural relations and more between Romania and Georgia. We need short-medium term success stories to give confidence to business circles in our countries. The direct flight between Bucharest and Tbilisi is an important step towards achieving this goal”, said E.S. Radu Liviu Horumbă, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to Georgia.

The price of a vacation package in Georgia starts at 493 euros per person and includes the flight, transfer to the hotel and seven nights’ accommodation. Packages can be customized according to each customer’s preferences.
