Romanian traditional cuisine celebrated in Cluj, on October 18th (Demo)

Romanian gastronomy is more than Sarmale and Papanasi, but a rich cuisine that can spoil all senses. On October 18th, Cluj business community is invited to discover traditional recipes and products during an evening of socializing and enjoying good Romanian wines, food and music.

Two well-known Romanian chefs will host a special culinary show presenting Romanian recipes, each plate having a unique story behind:

  • Mircea Groza – chef specialized in traditional cuisine, ethnologist and enthusiast researcher and promotor of the Romanian culinary traditions. He is a true spokesperson of the Romanian authentic gastronomy, promoting it both at national and international level.
  • Nico Lontras – chef with over 20 years of experience in the international cuisine in countries like Germany, Ireland and Norway. Passionate about the Romanian gastronomy, Nico creates out of the box dishes, innovative fine dining versions of the traditional recipes.

The event will bring together representatives from the local business community: companies and / or members of the most representative bilateral chambers and business associations active in Cluj: NRCC, BRCC, BEROCC, AFA, ARIES, ASEMER, IBC, DWNT etc.

Special guests at the event will be HE Mihael Zupančič, Ambassador of the Republic of Sloveniei to România and Arie Veldhuizen, Agricultural Counsellor Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Romania.

Hosted by AGRONOMIA restaurant (Calea Motilor 74-76), from 19:30, the event will include also an exhibition and fair offering the guests the chance to discover, taste and buy traditional products made by Romanian producers.

The culinary show is part of the event AGRITOURISM & ROMANIAN GASTRONOMY, the first event dedicated to the rural entrepreneurship inspired by the traditional Romanian products and culinary traditions.
