How do you like your coffee ?

Decaffeinated with milk and ice. No sugar.

What’s your favorite app ?

WhatsApp on land and Navionics at sea.

Name 3 things you always carry with you.

I carry my laptop bag with me every time I travel. It’s usually full of so many things that sometimes I even wonder why they keep staying there. But basically, I only need the laptop, the charger and the phone.

What’s your favorite place in Bucharest ?

In Bucharest, I mostly appreciate parks and gardens. To name just one, I would say The Village Museum.

How did you spend your last holiday ?

We had a fantastic sailing week in Sicily end of this July; almost 30 friends sailing together and exploring the Aeolian Islands for the first time. We hiked the Stromboli volcano at night to see the magma bursts and the next day we were anchoring next to it, serving dinner on the boat and again, watching it explode.

What newspapers/magazines do you read ?

To keep up with things I listen to or read RFI (Radio France International). For entertainment, I watch my favorite YouTube channels.

What color is your kitchen ?

I lived in many places in the past years so it’s difficult to say where home is. The kitchen next to me is bright.

Name 3 favorite hobbies.

I am passionate about wooden boat building. I started the latest project a few months ago and I can’t wait to get back home to resume work. I love sailing of course and pretty much everything that is connected or close to water.

The most important person in your life is…?

Alice, my daughter.

What is your favorite car ?

I’m not a big fan of cars but if you ask me about boats then it’s a Southerly 480 with lifting keel.

If you wouldn’t have your actual career/job, what would you like to do (as a career/job) ?

If sailing around the world would be a job I’ll take it.

What do you like best about Romania ?

I love the nature, the wild, the temperate climate and the sense of freedom. The Danube and it’s Delta are on top of my mind when thinking about Romania. In winter, I enjoy ski climbing in Brasov.
