Trains to Thessaloniki, Istanbul and Sofia starting June 2nd (Demo)

Passengers will have direct connections from Bucharest to Thessaloniki, Halkali / Istanbul, Sofia and return, between 2 June and 2 October, and the tickets for these trains can already be booked, CFR Călători informs. 

The train to Turkey will circulate daily and will have a carriage wagon and a sleeping carriage. A trip to Halkali / Istanbul costs about 49 euros for a six-seater carriage, 54 euros for a four-seater carriage and about 62 euros for a three-bed sleeping carriage.

And this year, passengers wishing to travel by train in Greece will be able to travel between Bucharest North and Thessaloniki and return once a week, departing Friday from Bucharest and returning from Thessaloniki on Sunday.

A ticket for a round trip, Bucharest – Thessaloniki, costs about 45 euros for a second class wagon, 56 euros for a six-seater wagon, 62 euros for a four-seater wagon and 64 euros for a wagon sleeping three places.

The train to Sofia will run daily and a ticket for a round trip costs about 30 euros in the 2nd class.

Also, for those who want to travel unlimited at a certain time by train, to Greece and Turkey, CFR Călători recommends the InterRail international tariff offer.

The Railway Passenger Transport Company CFR Călători SA is the national passenger railway operator which carries out the public transport of passengers by rail.
