World Press Photo Exhibition (Demo)

World Press Photo, said to be the world’s most important photojournalism exhibition, is on display through May 23 in Bucharest. The exhibition is organized by Eidos Foundation in partnership with The Romanian Art Museum where it is hosted.

In 1955 a group of Dutch photographers organized an international contest (“World Press Photo”) to showcase their work to an international audience. Since then the contest has grown into a most prestigious photography competition, and through a successful worldwide exhibition program, it presents the winning stories to millions of people every year.

The contest is built around the core values of accuracy, diversity and transparency and is aiming to make people stop, feel, think and act after seeing high-quality visual stories that matter.

The World Press Photo Worldwide Photo Exhibition travels around the world visiting more than 100 locations in over 45 countries and is experienced by more than 4 million people each year.

You can see it Wednesdays to Sundays from 10:00 to 18:00 – 10 ron ticket fee.

More details, as well as the full list of winners, can be found on the official website of the exhibition
